The following is taken from an article published in the Kappa Gamma Pi NEWS, written by Kathleen Shortall Lang (St. Joseph’s College, NY 1984; Garden City, NY), a former National III Vice President of Kappa Gamma Pi:

Our College Liaison Program needs additional liaisons to represent Kappa Gamma Pi at our affiliated colleges and universities. These visits, once a year, are an opportunity to distribute the latest literature concerning Kappa activities, the Saint Catherine Medal, and the Cornaro Scholarship.
As Kappas we possess a dedicated and willing spirit of service. We often “light one candle at a time” knowing we are all contributing to the betterment of the world. Liaisons are a vital link in the communication that must happen between our affiliated colleges and the National Office. The future of Kappa is dependent on the visibility of our organization on campuses.
You need not be a graduate of the college or university in your area to serve as a liaison. You will be given a guideline script, background data on the college including information about recent nominations, and the name of the contact person.
If a personal visit is not possible to arrange, we suggest an e-mail visit with the administrator. At times, due to distance or schedules, an e-mail visit is a very acceptable alternative means of contact. Some administrators might prefer this method.
Please contact the Third Vice President, Chad Skinner at email@example.com if you would like to become a liaison or have any questions about this program.
For all of you who are current liaisons, thank you for your invaluable service! For those of you who are considering offering your services as a liaison, thank you for your leap of faith in our organization.
Thank you for making a difference!
